About dedi.ie
Dublin, 2026. A small Irish hosting company, restarted under the same name after eight years offline.
Where the name comes from
dedi.ie ran from 2014 to 2018: KVM on a few bare-metal boxes in a Dublin datacentre, monthly billing in EUR, support by email. The company wound down in 2018.
In September 2026 we brought it back. Same name, same city, same approach: KVM/QEMU guests on bare-metal hosts we run ourselves in Dublin. The promise is the same: real bare-metal semantics where they're needed, KVM/QEMU everywhere else.
What's different this time
- Ready-made configurations. Each plan is a fixed build — a shared-CPU server, a CPU-pinned server, a GPU server, or a server with your own drives passed straight through. There is no per-order hand-tuning to get wrong.
- GPU and HBA passthrough. The previous dedi.ie didn't offer these. We do, because the workloads asking are real — CUDA compute on a full RTX A4000, ZFS pools on raw HBAs — where bare-metal semantics matter.
- Email-link or password login. Sign in with an email link by default, or set a password if you prefer. You can add a second factor if you want one, and you stay signed in for a week.
- Operator audit trail. Every operator action on an account (surcharge, suspension, note, password reset) is recorded on the customer-facing dashboard so the customer can see what happened.
What's the same
- Irish company, Dublin-registered. 1 Hatch Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 X285. Reverse-charge for EU businesses with a VAT id; 23% Irish VAT otherwise.
- Bank transfer or card. No exotic payment processors, no crypto, no in-app wallet. The invoice has our IBAN.
- Email support, same day. We're small; we answer the email.
